Hello, my name is Shiku.

Being an immigrant woman, this space is a compilation of life experiences learnt and still being learnt along the way.

As a a daughter, sister, friend, aunt, mother, confidant, believer, faith giver and so much more on the plate of what we call life….. Welcome!

The greatest lesson in this journey has been that we are all so much more than any given descriptions. A few years ago, this was scary… ALOT scary. Embracing it has been a journey of tears, laughter and personal growth.

This knowledge thankfully has been an amazing liberator and has ignited a passion in helping other immigrant women also discover how much more they are!

Starting a place where the noise of the world could be muted was something that paralyzed me for so long. Self limiting beliefs and a passive agreement with societal labels also played a huge part in procrastination.

For many years society and some of those closest to me taught that I was not enough. It was either too much something or not enough of something.

This space is a haven. Here, let us embrace everything about our experiences and lives.

My hope……. That what is shared here helps you get back to YOU and especially the knowledge that you are an Amazing Woman and most importantly..
